Student agreement form (Chromebook)
In efforts to get more Chromebooks distributed to students it is crucial that all
students complete the Student Agreement Form. This form outlines the
responsibilities and expectations regarding the use of school-issued Chromebooks
and must be completed before a device can be issued. Please scan the QR code below.
Invitation to CCPS Science Department's Parent & Student Event!
We are thrilled to invite your scholars to an exciting event hosted by the Clayton County Public Schools Department of Science! This will be a special educational event where science and fun seamlessly merge into a unique and engaging experience! The goal of this event is to build awareness and provide support to ensure students' success in the 2024-2025 Clayton County Regional Science & Engineering Fair. Each school can select 5 students to join us for an afternoon of family fun and discovery at Fun Spot America Theme Park — Atlanta. This event is open to all students PreK - 12.
Event Details:
-
Date: Friday, September 6th, 2024
-
Time: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
-
Location: Fun Spot America Theme Parks — Atlanta, 1675 GA-85, Fayetteville, GA 30214
Please complete the Parent & Student Event Registration form by Friday, August 16, 2024. Each student registered will receive free admission to the park and a free meal. Please reiterate to parents that they are required to attend and supervise their child throughout the entire event. Admissions verification will occur at the park entry. Additional siblings will not be admitted. However, if parents wish to pay for additional children to attend, they are welcome to purchase tickets at the park for $39.95 per person. Parents are not required to pay for entry unless they desire to participate in the theme park activities.
Upon the scholars' and parents' arrival, they will check in and rotate through the 4 workshops before receiving a wristband to engage in the park's festivities. See the flyer for more details. Students selected to join us for this event are expected to participate in their school-level Science & Engineering Fair and hopefully advance to the district’s Regional Science & Engineering Fair.
This year, we expect all schools to submit a minimum of 5 projects for grades 3-12. This traditional expectation has been paused for the past 4 years due to the pandemic. We are excited to return to increased and rigorous participation in which our scholars compete to advance from our Regional to the State and International Fair.
Your encouragement of your teachers and students is crucial in inspiring students to choose projects that go beyond the basics. Encourage them to ask meaningful questions, challenge assumptions, and think critically about the world’s most pressing issues—climate change, public health, renewable energy, or technology. Help them to see the science fair as a chance to contribute to solutions that matter, both today and in the future. By steering them towards projects with real scientific substance, you’re equipping them with the skills they need to become the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow and the ULTIMATE GOAL...WINNERS FOR STATE AND INTERNATIONAL FAIR!
