Ms. Tracy King is an Assistant Principal at Lovejoy High School. She has over 27 years of experience growing students academically and mentoring teachers. She is a first generation graduate and received her B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Alabama State University, and M.S./Ed.S degrees from Troy State University in Elementary Education. She also completed her Leadership Certification at University of West Georgia.
Ms. King supports teachers in improving the quality of inquiry-based instructional lessons. She is a proponent for promoting student agency, cultivating voice, choice and ownership in students. She is passionate about the overall well-being of all students and providing them with an equitable, high-quality education on a daily basis by supporting, assisting, inspiring, motivating, and preparing teachers to be catalysts for change.
Being reared in a single-parent home, family is of the utmost importance to Ms. King. Her mother and grandparents instilled in her the importance of character and hard work. Tracy has a loving, supportive mother and a fur baby named Chase. When she is not tutoring and enriching students on the weekend, Ms. King is actively participating with her church family and writing/facilitating Christian Education curriculum.
