What is Advanced Placement (AP)?

Brief Description

  • The Advanced Placement Program offers college-level courses at the high school level in different academic interests.
  • Allows college-bound students to earn college credit while they are still in high school.
  • In May of every school year, students take a national exam and earn a score between 1 and 5, a score of a 
    3 - 5 is a passing score.
  • ALL students enrolled in an AP course MUST take the exam at the end of the year.
