Dr. Harold Dobbins




Assistant Principal, Dr. Harold Dobbins, Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia and reared in Decatur Georgia. Dr. Dobbins has achieved a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from The Fort Valley State University, a Master of Arts in Instruction from Central Michigan University, a Certificate in Advance Graduate Studies from Cambridge College and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Argosy University.

His career in education began in a neighboring school school district where he served as an 8th Grade Language Arts teacher, Facilitator of a Whole School Reform Model and Assistant Principal. Upon his departure from that district, he continued as an Assistant Principal at Church Street ES, Mt. Zion ES, River's Edge ES and Lovejoy Middle School all within Clayton County Public School System.

Dr. Dobbins has served his community as a Baseball Coach and Cub Scout/Boy Scout leader for several years. He also served as a School Council member for his local, neighborhood school. Dr. Dobbins is a member of Omega Psi Phi Inc.

Dr. Dobbins is married to Dr. Omi Dobbins, a psychotherapist and high school counselor in a neighboring district. They have three children together; Harold III, Harmoni and Harper.
