Mr. Doron A. Phillips, an educator of 15 years, began his tenure in Clayton County Public Schools in the fall of 2007 as the Director of Bands at Forest Park High School. At FPHS, Mr. Phillips also served as the Fine Arts Department Chair, school improvement leadership team member, engaging minds lead, Governor’s Honors site facilitator, and CCPS lead teacher for High School instrumental music. Under his leadership at Forest Park, Mr. Phillips increased the membership to over 150 members, totaling over $1 Million dollars in scholarships annually. It was under Mr. Phillips’ vision where the program would be donned the nick name “The Kings of Sound." 

Mr. Phillips is a native of Stone Mountain, Georgia by way of Hayward, California but earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Education from Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Mr. Phillips also earned his degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University and his Educational Leadership credentials from the University of West Georgia.

Mr. Phillips is an avid sports fan who also enjoys writing and listening to music, along with umpiring little league baseball. Mr. Phillips also has three beautiful children Jayden, Dariana, and Christian Marshall. 

Mr. Phillips professionally is a member Phi Beta Sigma and Mu Phi Sigma International fraternity. 

Mr. Phillips favorite quote comes from the late Kobe Bryant "I Wanted You To Know That It Doesn't Matter How Hard You Work, That I'm Willing To Work Harder Than You."
